SCANDAL

Just to let ya’ll know, I am a Scandal freak. I have been a gladiator since Season 2 ( I went back and watched season 1) no body can tell me natta thang, when Scandal is on. Like Olivia Pope is in the ranks with Beyoncé in my book. When Ms. Pope speaks it betta be silent. Ya’ll don’t know. Okay let me get along. So as we all very well know The Limited and Scandal has paired and birthed a collection. So I checked this out cause I want to feel as fierce, hunny, as Liv! So, the line was impressive, it is the style of Olivia Pope. They went for the correct target market, a business woman that wants to look and feel sophisticated, educated and powerful (because we all know thats how Liv feels, especially when she “man-handling” Fitz). They did an amazing job, if I worked in an office I would wear the collection; when I want to exhume “bow-down” when I walk in a room, that collection would be my go-to. OBJECTIONS: The jackets doesn’t have that structured flare that Olivia’s does in the show, know I know everything isn’t going to be the exact same, but I feel nowadays designers want everything to be tight and short not TAILORED. Two totally different things. Tight is, I can see the seam line of your panties; tailored is, it accents your figure. Now back to the jackets. When I found out about this line I’m like “yeah, first thing I’m buying is a coat” because I love the coats she wears but I was disappointed because it didn’t have that structured flare look. But really that’s my only objection. I think it’s amazing, otherwise, and will def be a huge success.

I Found My Life!!

I was having a boring OFF day, yup thats right- no work, done with classes for the quarter ( I passed them all, whoop whoop!!). So I decided to do my hair, clean, my roommate made chicken ( Thank God for culinary majors), and a few peeps dropped by. So we eatin, chillin watching Sex and the City (mind you it’s two guys and my roommate- awks much, but I didn’t care. You can’t turn down SJP!) I’m in my feelings (hence the post above) and I decided to hop on and see what the other half of the world is talking about. Now as I was scrolling through my feed, I saw this amazing runway look and thought “that is so me!” haha. I found my life and got out my feelings hunny (Tamar voice) The pixel print, something we will see a lot soon. I believe the skirt is what caught my eye the most. I love the crochet look and the flow is a plus. I think I’m gonna have to make a duplicate (*cue evil laugh). And as we all know I love a dramatic hat. This look is a must have for fall, especially for me. They did an amazing job with this look; the entire collection.
